Why Your Water Vapor Fireplace May Leak Water After Long Periods of Non-Use
Sometimes, the fireplace is not faulty. The float simply needs a quick clean.
One of our customers recently contacted us because their Eblth water vapor fireplace started leaking water after being left unused for an extended period.
After checking the issue, we found that the float inside the water tank had become dirty and slightly stuck. Because it could no longer move freely, the fireplace could not correctly detect the water level, causing continuous water filling and eventually leading to water leakage.
Fortunately, this is usually a simple maintenance issue rather than a product fault.
Why Does This Happen?
If a water vapor fireplace is not used for weeks or months, small amounts of mineral deposits, dust, or residue can accumulate around the float.
When the fireplace is used again, the float may not move up and down smoothly.
This can prevent the water level sensor from working correctly and may result in water overflowing.
Before Using the Fireplace Again
If your fireplace has not been used for a long time, we recommend the following:
- Stay near the fireplace during the first refill.
- Do not leave the fireplace unattended while it is filling with water.
- Watch the water level for a few minutes.
- If you notice any leaking, switch off the fireplace immediately.
These simple checks can help prevent unnecessary water damage.
How to Clean the Float
- Open the side cover.
- Remove the white float carefully.
- Wipe the float gently with a dry tissue.
- Make sure the float moves freely up and down.
- Reinstall the float.
- Turn the fireplace on again and test it.
